A United Nations report confirmed what the horrific footage already proved: the U.S. strike on the Minab primary school in Iran, killing over 150, was an indiscriminate attack that constitutes a clear war crime. An American missile tore through a clearly identifiable civilian building filled with children. Yet, instead of immediate accountability or leverage applied to stop this war, Washington responded with corporate press releases and political deflection. The usual bureaucratic theater.

The horrifying reality is that this aggression doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It is paid for and endorsed by an entire political class. Every single elected official who refuses to use their power to shut down this administration’s military operations is directly complicit. While innocent children are incinerated in their classrooms, politicians from both major parties are sitting in fundraising dinners, taking millions from foreign policy lobbies, defense contractors, and AIPAC. They have sold off their constitutional duty to oversee war powers in exchange for campaign checks. They choose PAC donations over human life.

We need to stop pretending that polite political disagreement or partisan posturing is an acceptable response to state-sponsored slaughter. When elected leaders prioritize lobby money over stopping an illegal, unprovoked war that bombs schoolgirls, they aren’t just failing their constituents…they are actively enabling war crimes.

The silence in Congress isn’t a lack of options; it is a conscious financial decision. If “never again” and “international law” mean anything beyond empty slogans, every single official who refuses to pull the plug on this war must be held accountable for the blood on their hands.
