The irony.
9th District Congressional Republican candidate in Illinois celebrating Big Beautiful Bill that will wipe out healthcare for millions on her campaign Facebook, while simultaneously seeking funds from her community to cover her husbands medical bills through a GoFundMe page.
No family should have to beg community online for funds to cover surgeries, medication, home health, or loss of insurance and funds through being too hurt or sick to work.
Yet GOP candidates exactly like this continue to push for lethal legislature that seeks to rip that exact stability of the hands of sick constituents.
Candidates need to speak the truth and be honest and upfront about why exactly they support the work of the current Administration.
Unfortunately, a deeper dive into this candidates campaign website provides few answers into her platform beliefs:
Make sure our laws are enforced and America is a land of opportunity for ALL! She has a passion for children and for the middle class.
She believes in smaller, more effective government that’s less wasteful and less intrusive in our every day lives. Every-day citizens should not have to fear for the Constitution but instead be confident in its protections.
While her campaign tenets seem milquetoast and rather benign as outlined on the website, it would seem a different story is being told on the official campaign Facebook page. Candidate makes ample references to Trump specifically, by name, as well as her support for many GOP “initiatives”
Why not extend this Trump adoration to the official campaign website where they are collecting donations? Why not platform the more hate fueled rhetoric being shared on Facebook on the official campaign website that folks will see first when doing a Google search for this candidates name?
It makes one question if their support of GOP politics is rooted in an actual belief in Republican values, or if they are using Trump’s name to push algorithm engagement through notoriously red-coded Facebook?
Or if they are “testing the waters” for what their campaign will look like if they succeed in the primary, and move forward in the general election?
Time will tell.
